Senior associate Sara Pezeshkpour joined the firm in 2011, when it was known as Barbosa, Metz & Harrison. She is a 2008 graduate of UCLA Law School and its David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. Sara was awarded an Equal Justice Works fellowship to implement a novel approach to disability discrimination in rental housing. As an Equal Justice Works fellow and later as a staff attorney, she worked for three years with the Southern California Housing Rights Center, where she litigated and tried housing discrimination cases under the federal Fair Housing Amendments Act and related California laws on behalf of persons with disabilities. Since joining the firm, Sara has also tried cases under the Americans with Disabilities Act and has successfully represented clients before the California Courts of Appeal.

Sara is a member of the Disability Rights Bar Association and the National Organization of Legal Services Workers. For many years, Sara has served on the Board of Directors of the Disability Community Resource Center, formerly known as the Westside Center for Independent Living, a non-profit independent living center serving persons with disabilities throughout California.  Currently, Sara serves as the President of that Board of Directors.
